1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS

Stolen from a garage in Knightsbridge, London in 2012, this rare Ferrari Dino was spotted when it had been offered for sale in one of the major classic car auction houses in 2020.  The colour had been changed and the numbers on the chassis plate had been restamped, but eagle eye Ferrari experts identified the stolen vehicle beneath the disguise.

The car was pulled from the sale days before the auction and Art Recovery International was appointed to represent the Insurer who paid out on the loss.  ARI’s Chris Marinello resolved the ensuing title dispute with the Consignor and the car was returned to the theft victim shortly before Christmas 2020.   Happy to see his classic again, the theft victim has promised a test drive, which is due to take place in the new year!
