Art Dealer Sells Painting She Doesn’t Own to UK Dealer

The sad case of a UK based dealer getting fleeced by a US “dealer” over this Edwin Harris work. The US dealer sold the painting, accepted the funds, and never delivered the work to the UK. As it turned out, the US dealer never had title to the painting to transfer to the purchaser. Chris Marinello was brought in to aid the UK dealer and gave the seller the choice of paying back the funds or having a criminal case filed against her. While the seller made partial payment, she defaulted on the balance and went to prison instead.
