This Kandinsky watercolour was part of a consignment fraud case between two art dealers in 2008.  Fortunately, the prevailing dealer filed UCC-1 forms in the USA which protected his financial interest in the paintings.  An insurance company paid out on losses and subrogated the claim.  Art Recovery International was hired by the Insurer to recover the payout sum plus interest and costs when the painting appeared for sale in 2017.  A successful, and confidential settlement was reached with the current possessor and the Insurer was made whole.
