Sculpture Stolen From Southern Illinois University is Recovered

Stolen in 2006 from Southern Illinois University, this Duchamp-Villon appeared for sale at Bonhams in New York.
With the assistance of the FBI, and SIU security, it was determined that Bonhams’ consignor was the brother of a deceased student who attended SIU. Chris Marinello, acting on behalf of the insurer, negotiated the surrender of the sculpture and it was sold on behalf of Underwriters.
