Van der Neer Painting Stolen From Country House is Recovered in London

Stolen from a country house in 2000, this painting by Aert Van der Neer appeared for sale at Christie’s London in 2010.
Chris Marinello, acting on behalf of the insurer, negotiated an unconditional release from Christie’s consignor. The theft victim was pleased with his insurance payout in 2000 and declined to reimburse his insurer allowing the painting to sell to a top Mayfair dealer.
