RICHARD MILLE RM011 TIMEPIECE RECOVERED IN GENEVA
This Richard Mille RM 011 was recovered from a collector in Geneva who purchased the watch with no papers and without performing any due diligence.
The watch was stolen in 2019 from our client outside his home in London. Thieves had been watching him from afar and spotted the bright red and valuable timepiece on his wrist. Two criminals approached on a moped, forced the watch off the victim’s wrist, and sped off in busy London traffic.
The police were notified and the watch was recorded on a number of private stolen watch databases. ARI was alerted when the watch was submitted for service in Geneva. Despite the case being only a few years old, the police were not interested in conducting an international investigation. Fortunately, ARI was able to negotiate an unconditional surrender from the possessor and the watch was returned in late 2022.
