Stolen in Transit from NYC Gallery, Painting is Recovered by Insurer

Stolen in transit from a New York City gallery in 2007, the painting appeared for sale in Missouri, USA with another dealer. With the assistance of the FBI, Chris Marinello, acting on behalf of the insurer, recovered the work in 2009. The theft victim declined to reimburse the insurer and the painting was sold on behalf of underwriters.
