Kurt Schwitters Work Recovered 45 Years After Theft

This painting was reported stolen in 1966 from a New York City gallery and was part of the infamous William Kingsland art theft case. Chris Marinello, acting on behalf of the insurer, resolved the title dispute over this work when it appeared for sale at a major US auction house. The work was sold and proceeds returned to underwriters.
