Stolen from a top Mayfair dealer in 1979, this work was offered for sale at Christie’s London in December 2006.  It was the dealer himself who spotted it and asserted a claim.  Chris Marinello resolved the title issue between Christie’s consignor, the theft victim, and the victim’s insurer after over three years of what can only be described as “nonsense”.
